I feel fortunate to have started my research group in the Centre for Inflammation Research (CIR) at Edinburgh University. Together the CIR and the Centre for Regenerative Medicine, form the Institute for Regeneration and Repair. Collectively our research covers many organs, cell types and diseases, which offers myriad opportunities for exciting collaborations!
Holly Rocliffe
Holly is a final year PhD student in the lab investigating the role of pro-resolving pathways acute and chronic skin wounds.
Dr Antonella Pellicoro
Antonella is a Senior Postdoctoral Research Fellow investigating how and when macrophages become dysfunctional in aberrant healing scenarios.
Dr Fraser Macrae
Fraser was awarded a prestigious Sir Henry Wellcome Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2019 to explore the role of fibrin films in infection and wound healing. During his fellowship he will split his time between the labs of Professor Ariens (Leeds University), Professor Herwald (University of Lund) and the Cash lab.
Tianchi Zhou
Tianchi will be starting his MRC Precision Medicine PhD in the lab in September 2021. He will be working on identifying therapeutic targets for chronic wounds using single cell transcriptomics and digital spatial profiling.
